About our founder
PTaufiq Photography was founded by award-winning photographer, Pervez Taufiq.
Pervez is an artist whose passion for event photography services has grown immensely over the past decade. His creative journey began in a Boston-based band Living Syndication, where he was the lead singer. While he was used to being on stage, captivating audiences in the hundreds of thousands, and seeing his songs chart on radio and TV, he always felt a magnetic pull toward the world of photos and videos.
Pervez often says, “When people ask me what equipment I use, I tell them, ‘my eyes and my heart.’” This quote perfectly sums up his approach to photography—it’s not just about the gear, but the vision and emotion he brings to each shot.
For years, friends would ask Pervez to shoot their weddings, and he finally gave in. What started as a favor turned into a deep love for capturing one of life’s most beautiful moments. Initially, he took on a limited number of clients, but as word spread and his community encouraged him, he decided to make it a full-time career.
Now, Pervez leads a team of talented photographers and videographers who share his passion not just for the art, but for the couples they work with.
Pervez shoots alongside his wife, lead photographer, Nicole Taufiq. As a previous cover girl and fashion model in Mumbai for over 10 years, culminating with the Miss India Pageant in 2007, she brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team and helps to get the best out of clients. Deciding to approach weddings as a performance similar to creating a song, their photos and videos reflect this departure from the norm. Their passion for the couples they shoot is unmatched and it’s no surprise that clients who get the chance to work with PTaufiq Photography spread the word quickly to their friends and family, every opportunity they get.
