Sonaali and Raj’s love story began with a dating app match and a first date that ended with a surprising twist—when Raj dropped Sonaali home, he realized she lived in his sister’s building. From then on, his “visits to his sister” became a running joke. He would text Sonaali to hang out instead, and the rest, as they say, was history.

When it came time to propose, Raj went all out. He took Sonaali on a hike in Hawaii—a grueling, near-vertical climb for twenty straight minutes. At the top, breathless and surrounded by some of the most stunning views in the world, he got down on one knee. She said yes before she caught her breath.

For their Luxury Indian Destination Wedding, Sonaali and Raj chose Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in San Diego, California. Rolling hills, lush gardens, and golden California skies made it the perfect backdrop for their celebration. Furthermore, this was the third wedding in Sonaali and Raj’s family that P.Taufiq Photography has had the honor of capturing. Consequently, it felt less like an assignment and more like a homecoming.

Haldi Ceremony

The Haldi was pure joy. Morning light filled the venue as turmeric was applied with loving hands, laughter, and blessings from every direction. P.Taufiq Photography captured it all—the big moments and the quiet ones in between.

Sangeet Night

The Sangeet was electric. DJ 3D Sounds kept the floor packed all night, and both families danced together without missing a beat. Moreover, the energy in the room never dipped—it was love in motion from start to finish.

Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was the highlight of the weekend. Indian rituals unfolded with beauty and reverence under open California skies. The reception was a perfect finale. Heartfelt speeches, a packed dance floor, and two people moving through the room like the whole world had been made just for them. It was joy, pure and simple.
